About Ms. Alberts

Lorraine Alberts is a Chicago native and has been playing the harp professionally since 1982.   She earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in harp performance from Northern Illinois University,  and Northwestern University, respectively.   Her primary teacher was Elizabeth Cifani (Principal Harpist, Chicago Lyric Opera).   She also studied with Edward Druzinsky, Stephen Hartmann, Linda Wood, and briefly with Jean Avakian. 

Lorraine relocated to Kalamazoo, MI in August 1999 with her husband, Andy Mozina, and daughter, Madeleine.

Ms. Alberts served on the music faculty of Hope College in Holland, MI, from 2001-2006.   Her performance career includes solo, chamber group, choral, and orchestral performances in Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, and Southwest Michigan.

Lorraine's first CD, "Romantic Wedding Music on the Harp", was released in 2000.
Her second CD, "Christmas Lullabies and Winter Dreams on the Harp" was released in October 2007.
